REQUIREMENTS
Our Surrogates' Age Must Be 21-42
Women in their late 30s and beyond are considered to be of advanced maternal age, which can lead to complications during pregnancy such as gestational diabetes and high blood pressure. We accept surrogates who are 21-42 years old, provided they have given birth recently and meet other specific guidelines.
Must be U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident
Must not currently reside in any of these following states: Nebraska, Louisiana, Michigan, Hawaii and Alaska. This is because the legislation in these states would streamline the surrogacy procedure.
No Physical and Mental illness
To qualify as a surrogate, you must be medically stable and have no history of smoking or drug usage. We still expect emotional wellbeing from our surrogates, because you cannot have a history of anxiety or depression, like postpartum depression.
No Criminal Background
Our surrogates must agree to a criminal background check. This provision also applies to someone staying with one of our surrogates, so please ensure that your significant other and all other members of your family have clean backgrounds before applying. Although this approach applies to felonies and the majority of misdemeanors, please notify us if you have a slight offense on your record and want to qualify to be a surrogate. We approve these applications on a case-by-case basis.
Have Uncomplicated Birth Experience
Our surrogates must be pregnant, raise at least one infant, and have no history of gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, or preterm delivery (birth occurring before 37 weeks or 34 weeks for twins). We require safe, uncomplicated pregnancies from our surrogates.
The Body Mass Index (BMI) Must Less Than 32.
Our surrogates must maintain a good weight. Certain drugs that we administer to our surrogates are often ineffective in individuals with a high BMI. As a result of these considerations, we will only deal with surrogates that have a BMI of less than 32. You can also apply if your BMI is marginally above 32. However, we would usually request that you lose weight before initiating fertility treatment.
Must be Financially Stable and Have a Stable Support System
You need to give up food stamps or any other government assistance in surrogacy. Must have family support. Married or partnered spouse/partner must be willing to cooperate and participate whatever necessary.
Must be Flexible with Medical Appointments
Must be flexible with your appointments and be willing to travel to the assigned clinic. Generally IVF screening (1 day) and embryo transfer (3-4 days) required reimbursable travels if you live far from the IVF clinic
